Mark Jackson, Cycle Transport
Serving Southern Maryland and the Washington DC area
Mark Jackson was enjoying Daytona Bike week when something intriguing caught his eye. It was some sort of a lift that loaded a motorcycle into the back of a pick-up truck! Amazing, he thought to himself, I’d like to own one of those, it’d be perfect for my new business. However he didn’t catch the name of the product.

So upon returning home, he hopped on the Internet and started doing some searching. He found the same thing he saw in Daytona… but wait… what’s this? Something else popped up too. This is something even better! The X-Tra-Lift? I’ve never seen anything like it before in my life, Mark thought to himself. He looked into it a little more and discovered this X-Tra-Lift was something that the product he saw in Daytona didn’t even come close too. He called up and talked to Tom Formanek at Stellar Industries to learn more about it. One conversation lead to another, then turned into a sale.
Mark hopped in his truck in the middle of April and started his drive towards Iowa to get his newly purchased, custom painted X-Tra-Lift installed on his 1993 Ford F250 Dual rear wheel teal and white truck.
Mark has recently opened a new business, Cycle Transport. He will be using the X-Tra-Lift as a major part of this new venture. Mark will offer motorcycle transporting in the Southern Maryland and Washington DC areas and hopes to someday get into the motorcycle salvage business too. If all goes well with the business, Mark intends to purchase an additional X-Tra-Lift within several months.
What sold Mark on the X-Tra-Lift versus any other product? “the whole operation of it” he said. He likes how the whole box lifts up and in and stays level the whole time. Mark also likes the available options like the remote control, which allows him the freedom to move around the box as it’s loading and unloading to make sure everything is out of the way and that the load is not shifting. He also likes the winch option. This allows him to pull bikes into the box if need be.
Mark anticipates his business will take-off into full swing this summer and the demand will call for another X-Tra-Lift purchase! Stellar Industries hopes to see Mark back in Garner real soon! |
